Blackberry Honey Walnut Scrub

This is the best scrub recipe in the world! Seriously. I’ve been using it about 10 years, maybe even a little longer. This recipe is amazing for head to toe use, especially on faces. It makes just enough in each batch, to use full body and not have any leftovers. Your skin will be baby smooth, shiny, healthy and you’ll get that natural glow back. I use it about once a month, when my skin starts to feel a little rough and dry, and lacks its usual luster.

Before I started making homemade, I was using an apricot scrub from my local store. This was 12 years ago, so I’m not trying to crush any particular brand here -BUT- there is no comparison in quality. One is awesome [mine!] and one is complete junk.

Not only was that old over the counter apricot scrub full of weird alcohols and synthetic surfactants, it was also loaded with SLS, and about 20+ other ingredients I still can’t pronounce to this day -WITH- apricot fruit extract being the last, least contained ingredient. Come on!

The following scrub recipe is 100% natural, gently exfoliates, tones, shrinks pores - and it’s 25% blackberry, 25% honey, 25% walnut and 25% lime. None of that other rubbish.

Ingredients
1/4 cup fresh blackberries
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup raw walnuts
Half of one lime

Directions
You’re going to pop all of these ingredients into a good, small sized food processor, or a blender. Blend until mostly smooth. With my mini food processor, it takes about 1-2 minutes.

Voila! Take in the shower and use! If you have a larger processor, you can double, triple, quadruple, and so on - the recipe. Freeze leftovers in ice cube trays. Whenever you want to use them, pop 2 or 3 out in the AM and let them defrost sitting out, or in the fridge. And if using a blender, if needed, you can add a tablespoon of water at a time to help get that vortex going, and get that bad boy blended super smooth. Enjoy!
