[recipe] Memphis Style Dry Rub
Yeah, girls like rubs too!
I’m into the sweet and hot dry rubs, my husband loooooooooves hot and spicy. This is my semi-ghetto version of the more difficult, traditional Memphis dry rub. The typical recipe has about 10-15 ingredients or so. This one is down to awesome basics for a kick of heat and flavor, without having to dish out so many spices.
It’s good on everything. My fave is beef brisket, salmon, pork ribs and pork shoulders.
Ingredients
1/4 cup paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons onion powder w/green onion & parsley
2 tablespoons black pepper
1 tablespoon cayenne
1 tablespoon garlic powder
Directions
Throw together and shake. Store in any air tight container. To use, rub down your meats/veggies and even grilled tofu, then bake, smoke, grill...Super easy!
