a Small & Happy Garden

We escaped to the City Market a bit ago and were inspired to start our small garden. I had been teetering back and forth on what to plant, where to plant and how to plant it. I get so overwhelmed and my ideas can start to take over. We totally simplified. I want what we will eat only.

This year we have two tomato plants in a single large planter, six strawberry plants and a large, bushy basil, all placed in planters. The only other thing we’re planning to put down, are a few blueberry bushes in our side yard. Well, besides the butterfly bushes and honeysuckle bushes we are planting to attract some wildlife. Together with my baking apple trees, it’s going to be pie and mozzarella caprese city this summer!
