The Big 30

Hello, my name is Courtney and I'm about to turn 30 {in a few months}. This is a big deal! It is going to be the official end of my youngness. I will always be held accountable, the things I did in my tweens, teens and 20's will no longer be cute, I will no longer be able to wear short shorts, braided hair will officially make me look old, going to the club will just be sad - Ugh! I have been reflecting a lot on the past and comparing it to the ageism I can fully expect in the future. What REALLY urks my nerves, is the fact that almost everything I've enjoyed since elementary school is suddenly going to seem like "Old Cat Lady" behavior. Yes, I will be that woman.

All I need now is a hairy mole.
