{recipe} Christmas Morning Casserole

The following recipe doesn't necessarily have to be made on Christmas morning -BUT- it is the perfect exceptional dish, that is easy to throw together on an already hectic day. You know the scenario: Everyone wakes up hungry and you're already spending the day making an out of this world dinner. What's for breakfast? No dry toast in my house. It's great for Thanksgiving morning, Christmas morning, weekends with a full house, potlucks, special birthday breakfast - you name it!

Ingredients
1 package crescent rolls
1 pound mild crumbled sausage
6 eggs, beaten
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Directions
Cook the crumbled breakfast sausage until browned and drain if needed. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 pan. Roll out the crescent rolls into the bottom of the pan. Top with an even layer of the cooked sausage, then pour in the beaten eggs and top with the cheese. Bake for 30 minutes. Voila! Super easy, super good - depending on how large you cut the casserole, it will make at least 12 servings or more and costs only a few dollars to make. Leftovers heat up great for late night snacks and next day breakfast. Enjoy!
