{recipe} Sam Adams Cheddar Bacon Fondue

When we recently went to the melting pot, the theme for the Big Night Out, was American. They had this fantastic Boston Lager Cheddar Cheese Fondue that my husband loved so much, I decided to mock the recipe at home. It turned out fantastic as always. So I'm here today to share the new cheese fondue recipe. It's really easy to make, super fun, super nummy - a must try!

Ingredients
2 pieces bacon, cooked
2 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons diced onion
1 pound shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup Sam Adams Boston Lager beer
2 tablespoons corn starch
Dash Dijon mustard
Dash your favorite hot sauce
1 tablespoon chopped scallions

Dippers
I like to use sour green apple chunks, celery pieces and a variety of breads. As I always mention with fondue - go crazy. You can dip anything you think will be good on cheese that is fondue fork sturdy. Some other ideas: carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, pepper slices, radishes, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, artichoke hearts, mushrooms...go nuts...

Directions
Prep all of your dippers and set aside. Either very finely dice, or throw into a food processor, the bacon, garlic and onion until everything is finely chopped. Toss the pound of shredded cheese in the corn starch and coat evenly.

Bring the beer and the bacon, garlic and onion mixture to a simmer.

Throw in half of the cheese and stir with a fork until mostly melted.

Stir in the other half of the cheese and stir until completely melted. Add the Dijon, hot sauce and scallions. Give one final stir and serve!
