The 17th Monday of 2011
I hope everyone had an amazing weekend! Ours was a busy one. I’m looking forward to loafing around and not doing much this weekend. We had an engagement party in VA Beach Saturday night. My sister Loren and her fiancé Mike will be getting married in 2012 and I get to play Maid of Honor ~ finally! Always a bridesmaid, never Maid of honor.
The party was amazing. I never had the opportunity to take pictures. My husband and I had our hands so full with the twins we never made it back to the car to grab our camera. I’m so sad because there last name is Dragon; they have all kinds of Dragon stuff in the home and outside. It’s too cool. By the little river running out back they have a big winding dragon that looks like the Loch Ness, lots of flowers in bloom and some crazy wine bottle bird feeder maybe? Tons of photo worthy eye candy.
Sunday we spent Easter with James and Blanca ~ the babies first Easter. We couldn’t do the traditional hiding of the eggs, basket or the chocolate binge because the babies aren’t walking or eating candy. I may be able to use them as an excuse to glitter eggs next year. We had a nice meal and the kids received some cool new toys and cute outfits.
I don’t know what my problem was; I kept eating everything I could get my hands on. I think I was enjoying the variety of food. I’ve noticed lately that I’ve been on an accidental raw vegan liquid diet most of the day. I don’t have time to eat so I drink pure vegetable and fruit juices to keep from passing out. I always cook a nice dinner, but what seems amazing to other people is the same old to me.
I’m so glad they sent me home with leftovers. I had a big glass of vegetable juice this morning during crunch time, but am now eating all the deviled eggs and spicy cheese. I’m certainly not a picky eater. I grabbed the first Tupperware I saw, opened it up and am eating everything inside. Jalapeno cheese and eggs ~ it works.
I would say the biggest adventure of the weekend was bringing home our new ridiculously huge man TV. My husband and I got it off the truck, up the front steps and into the house all by ourselves. I’m stronger than I look. Must be all the cheese.
